报告摘要:
The impact of soft gluon resummation on the azimuthal angle correlation between the total and relative momenta of two final state particles(jets) was investigated in our recent work. It was shown that the initial and final state radiations induce sizable cos(φ) and cos(2φ) asymmetries in single jet and dijet events, respectively. I will discuss the phenomenological consequences of this observation for various collider experiments, including diffractive processes in ultraperipheral pA and AA collisions, inclusive and diffractive dijet production at the EIC, and inclusive dijet production in pp collisions at the LHC. In particular, the cos(2φ) asymmetry of perturbative origin can dominate over the primordial asymmetry due to the linearly polarized gluon distribution.
周剑教授简介:
周剑教授于2009年在山东大学获博士学位(2007-2009 劳伦斯伯克利实验室联合培养),先后在美国Temple大学, 德国Regensburg大学, 荷兰NIKHEF,从事博士后研究。2015年入选中组部青年项目计划,2016年聘为山东大学教授。主要研究兴趣是微扰QCD及其在强子物理与高能核物理中的应用,如:自旋物理,TMD物理,共线高扭度因子化计算,小x物理等。
