报告摘要:Polaritons are quasiparticles formed due to the coupling between photons and elementary excitations including plasmons, phonons, excitons et al. Attributed to the high confinement and enhanced light-matter interactions, polaritons have received great interest in the applications such as surface-enhanced Raman/infrared spectroscopy, biosensing, polariton lasing, information transport and processing etc. With scattering-type scanning near-field optical microscopy (s-SNOM), polaritons in van der Waals materials have been extensively studied in the past decade. In this talk, I will introduce near-field studies of exciton polaritons in MoSe2 and plasmon polaritons in twisted bilayer graphene. Nano-optical imaging of exciton polaritons in MoSe2 waveguides reveals interesting features like back-bending dispersion, long-distance propagation and thickness-dependent wavelength. Nanoimaging of twisted bilayer graphene uncovers twist angle dependent plasmon polaritons, which is attributed to Fermi velocity renormalization in twisted bilayer graphene.
胡逢睿,南京大学副教授,南京大学“登峰人才支持计划”入选者,于2011年和2015年分别获得南京大学学士和博士学位。博士毕业后,先后在美国艾奥瓦州立大学和科罗拉多大学博尔德分校进行博士后研究,现任南京大学现代工程与应用科学学院副教授。长期以来从事微纳光学研究,运用近场光谱学、单粒子光谱学、超快光谱学等技术方法研究低维材料中极化激元和激子动力学等。共发表学术论文20余篇,其中包括以第一作者身份在Nature Photonics, PRL, Nano Letter, ACS Nano, PRB等杂志发表论文十余篇。研究成果至今获得引用600余次,h因子12。
